On the second place - Ivan Samarin in Russian car ArtTech with the test engine conceding the usual about 15 h.p. His time - 1:50,2 sec. The leader of championship Wakhamiaki is on the third place. Victor Shaitar has started on Sunday from a pole position. On the second lap umpires have shown him a black flag, having mixed numbers ” 21″ and ” 12″, but the mistake was found out already on the fourth lap when Victor was in pits. Judges had let know that there was no necessity for stop&go, but already five first Victor’s contenders had time to move forward. Victor has managed to return the leadership for one lap up to finish flag, having had a long start over the strongest Finnish sportsmen, and now the Russian pilot heads the test table of the championship of Finland.
2008-05-11: ArtLine comes to FinlandArt-Line Engineering team is going to participate in the 1st lap of the Finnish Championship (that is also the 1st stage of the Russian F3 Series) on Ahvenisto race circuit. Viktor Shaytar will drive Russian-built ArtTech F307 powered by FIAT 2-litre engine. Last Saturday the car has been tested in Miachkovo. Viktor Shaytar: “I have a great opportunity to contest the Ahvenisto race for the Art-Line team in the F3 category, and all the ingredients are in place for success.”
Another two drivers will start their season in Ahvenisto along with Shaytar - the last-year champion Ivan Samarin and Sergey Mokshantsev.
2008-03-25: Petrov takes first GP2 winEx-ArtLine driver Vitaly Petrov claimed his first GP2 Asia victory in an action-packed race at Sepang. Fairuz Fauzy of Super Nova Racing and Jerome d’Ambrosio of Dams were second and third as the leaders struggled from the start.
“I made a start good enough to come out of the first lap in sixth place,” Petrov reflected. “At the restart, under the rain, it was tricky to stay on track. But I worked my way to the top, corner after corner. It is fantastic to offer this win to my team. I want to take some points tomorrow and be able to fight for the championship.”

2008-02-14: Russian-Finnish F3 Calendar is agreedToday the F3 Finnish teams have approved the 08 Russian-Finnish F3 Calendar proposed by Russians. All Russian F3 teams will appear in two Finnish races, May 18th and August 10th, and the Finns are welcomed in Russia - on June 10th and July 20th. Another joint Formula 3 race of North European countries will be conducted in Estonia at the last weekend of June. At least 30 cars on the starting grid are expected. These international races are the first step to organize the Formula 3 North Europe Cup that would allow Russian, Finnish and Baltic drivers to compete with each other.
