The first race in Formula 3 series is finished. Sergey Chukanov is 8th, after him - Jesse Krohn - 9th place. Under the Team’s decision both ArtTechs have left the paddock on old tyres for to save up new to the second race in which our pilots have better qualifying positions. And even this fact has not prevented our drivers to enter into the first ten. But the result could be better: all the race Chukanov and Krohn hold 7th and 8th places, but at the very end of arrival we were overtaken by Latvian Harald Schlegelmilch. The leader of the general offset Laurens Vanthoor took the gold, the second was his teammate Stef Dusseldorp, and the third place has occupied Tom Dillmann.
In 4 hours we’ll see the second race of a stage.
Qualification of the 2nd race at Nurburgring raceway went under the real downpour. Artline pilots - Chukanov and Krohn are the masters of driving “in a rain”, and they have confidently occupied the first and second leading positions. 24 Formula 3 cars took part in that challenge (Adderly Fong, Performance Racing has joined). The bolides drifted in a water show and one car was even damaged, so several laps went under yellow flags. Finally our Jesse Krohn was qualified 11th, with time 2:18.370. Sergey Chukanov has occupied 12th place, with time 2:19.146. And we also held the leadership in Trophy. The first result of qualification - 2:12.867 (the separation from contenders has made more than 2 seconds) and it was shown by the new pilot of our series Tom Dillmann, Neuhauser Racing.
Tomorrow on August, 22nd go both races of 7th stage of ATS Formel-3 Cup.
On August, 20th at Nurburgring in Germany 7th stage of ATS Formel-3 Cup has started. This week-end our Formula 3 race goes together with one of the biggest racing events - “1000KM OF THE NURBURGRING”.
At 14:10 two dark blue ArtTechs F24 started for qualification among 23 participants of the Championship. 3 more pilots joined at this stage: Frenchmen - Tom Dillann (Neuhauser Racing), Louis Wagner (Racing Experience) and German Tim Sandtler (Jo Zeller Racing). 30 intense minutes resulted for our pilot Sergey Chukanov with 14th time - 1:54.165. The second pilot - Jesse Krohn lagged behind his team partner only for 0,1 second, and occupied 16th place in the test table. And by a good tradition ArtLine Team took the lead position in our Trophy offset. The first result today was again shown by Laurens Vanthoor - 1:52.365.
The racing weekend at Dutch Assen has come to the end. Sergey Chukanov has occupied today 9th place in the general offset, Jesse Krohn could not finish because of a failure.
At 13:40 22 Formula Ф3 cars were built on a starting straight line. At 13:55 signal to start had been given. Sergey Chukanov on a dark blue ArtTech 62 started from 15th position. On the very first lap there was a collision at once with 3 bolides. Chukanov going behind them managed to avoid failure by some miracle and, without having touched, has passed by the rotating cars which blocked almost all the line. Our second pilot Jesse Krohn wasn’t so lucky. He touched one of rotating cars with a forward wheel and was taken off for line limits, having damaged forward right and back left suspension brackets of ArtTech. Unfortunately he could not continue the race with such damages.
Already on the second lap Sergey Chukanov occupied 9th position and confidently spent the race to the finish without having admitted any of contenders to approach an attack distance. On 8th position went the Swedish pilot Max Nilsson on Dallara F307 with same as ours, Opel Spiess Challenge engine; the backlog from him made about five seconds.
In total 18 of 22 cars finished. The race was won again by Belgian Laurens Vanthoor, the second prize took the new pilot of Series Harald Schlegelmilch, 3rd place has deservedly occupied by Rafael Suzuki. In our Trophy offset Chukanov again the first, now he has 110 points. For Mika Vahamiaki it was not possible to leave on the second position in Trophy: having received a blow to a back wheel from Zahir Ali, he lost some seconds and returned behind the main contender - Francesco Lopez, thus Mika occupied 3nd place on a podium.
By results of a weekend ArtLine team has entered for the first time into a zone with 6th points. ArtTech F24 bolides caused a heightened interest of contenders: representatives of almost all teams of the Cup visited our boxes. Judges especially carefully supervised all parameters of the car, and after the second race they took fuel samples only at ArtLine.
The further page of Team’s history will be written by 7th stage of ATS Formel-3 Cup on August, 21-23st at already familiar to us Nurburgring raceway in Germany.
Today, on August, 8th at Assen raceway in Holland the first race of ATS Formel 3 Cup 6th stage passed. And again ArtLine pilots showed excellent results: Sergey Chukanov has risen on the first, Jesse Krohn on the second step of a podium in our offset. In the general test table Chukanov has taken 5th place, Krohn 7th.
The start we passed very successfully. Chukanov has occupied at once 4th position in peloton, and Krohn confidently went the 7th. Sergey has thought over a trajectory of a start in advance, knowing about weak places of the contenders - Harald Schlegelmilch and Nicolas Marroc. All race his ArtTech F24 with number 62 kept on the fourth position with an essential separation from Dallara F307 of Rafael Suzuki, but nevertheless on last lap our pilot had been compelled to concede one position to the Latvian pilot, one of leaders of the Cup.
Shining fighter’s qualities were shown also by our second ArtLine driver - Jesse Krohn who, despite of not so successful options of the car, managed to beat off attacks of several very fast pilots till the end of the race and to reserve 8th place (Harald Schlegelmilch won back one position in the middle of arrival, he was also faster for 0.8 seconds in qualification), and following the results of all the race to occupy a worthy 7th place because of a penalty of Nicolas Marroc.
For today it’s the best result of Stromos ArtLine racing team in the international ATS Formel3 Cup. The best time of the winner - Laurens Vanthoor - 1:32,736, Chukanov - 1:34,451. In Trophy offset our pilots have taken the 1st and 2nd places, the pilot of our friendly team ADRF - Mika Vahamiaki became the third. 22 drivers took part in the race, and 19 then finished.
Tomorrow we’ll see results of the 2nd race.
In this arrival the tactics of our pilots was based on saving tires. Sergey Chukanov and Jesse Krohn started later. But in the very beginning of qualification yellow flags appeared on a line, and thus we had not time to show good results. Chukanov was qualified 15th, Jesse Krohn - 16th. Headliners were predicted: Laurens Vanthoor, Rafael Suzuki and, that’s a surprise - Harald Schlegelmilch - a freshman, had shown 1st, 2nd and 3rd results accordingly.
Living for tomorrow’s first race of the 6th stage of ATS Formel-3 Cup…
At 14:15 qualification for the first race in Assen took place. It is the best qualification for the Team in this season: Chukanov has shown 7th result with backlog of 1.8 seconds from the leader, Krohn was 0,3 seconds more slowly than Chukanov and qualified 11th. But a session final result was changed, because of cancellation of Rafael Suzuki’s last lap, and both our pilots have risen above on 1 step in a test table: Chukanov - 6th, Krohn - 10th.
It is necessary to note that Chukanov had more perfect aerodynamic package which the Team decided to try on this race. The Team also plans to test other engineering innovations during the racing weekend - first of all it concerns brakes.
Sergey Chukanov: “Brakes became better, but nevertheless a superfluous turning was felt; I know, where it is possible to win four tens more “.
Jesse Krohn: “Last lap was just excellent; I could improve my time on three tenth, but at the end the traffic had prevented this”.

The 6th stage of ATS Formel-3 Cup has started today in Holland on Assen raceway. This time ArtLine team presents its notorious pilots Sergey Chukanov - the Trophy Leader and Jesse Krohn - the rising Finnish racing star on ArtTechs F24.
At a dawn on August, 7th the first training passed. From 22 participants our Sergey Chukanov showed the 7th result with time 1:35.827 that only in 2 seconds from the leader - the Dutch pilot Stef Dusseldorp. Both pilots of Dutch “Van Amersfoort Racing team” - Laurens Vanthoor and Stef Dusseldorp on their house line carry a second to Latvian Harald Schlegelmilch. For the first time in its history ArtLine team has entered into the top ten in trainings, and during all arrival our pilots kept on 3-6 places. And even when eight fast participants have put new tires in some minutes till the end of the session, we have lost only one position - Brazilian Rafael Suzuki, one of the fastest pilots of a series has pressed Chukanov from his 6th place.
Our second driver Jesse Krohn went in rate of Chukanov a few advancing him and leaving on 4th position in a table or then conceding a pair of tenth seconds. In the middle of a training Jesse has complained on unusual superfluous turning of his car, but mechanics could not find any malfunctions. Unfortunately from this moment it appeared impossible to improve the time for the Finnish pilot. The result - 11 place, backlog - 2.7 seconds from the leader.
At this stage the new participant has joined our Series - Latvian Harald Schlegelmilch - HS Technik Motorsport team. Earlier he piloted the Formula Masters. Already during the morning training Harald has shown the 3rd result.
At the following stage of ATS Formel-3 Cup in Nurburgring 25 participants are expected.
Unfortunately one of the fastest drivers - Rahel Frei could not take part in that stage because of shortage of the budget.

On July, 5th the 5th stage of ATS Formel-3 Cup in Germany resulted for ArtLine with an excellent achievement. For the first time in this season the Team pilot on ArtTech F24 showed time of first ten and for the first time he’s finished 9th, having overtaken 8 bolides from the senior class! (Read more»»)
2009-07-6: Results of the 1st race and the 2nd qualification of a 5th stageOn July, 4th the first race of a stage has taken place. 20 Formula 3 bolides on a start line. The Team pilot Sergey Chukanov started from 16th position. By the end of the first lap he went already 12th, having overtaken Gary Hauzer, Nicolas Marrok, Zahir Ali and Adderli Fong - the pilots acting on more modern Dallara-F307 cars. On the second lap Sergey has made one more overtaking and after two contenders have taken off for line limits, Chukanov became the ninth. In the middle of a distance our pilot twirled in last turning movement, and has lost 3 positions. During a penultimate lap he returned on 11th place again, having overtaken Ali, but before the finish has passed forward Gary Hauzer.
Chukanov: “I looked at a board over a line which showed zeros, and have released gas. And when Hauzer passed me, I’ve realized that was mistaken.”
Sergey’s best lap time became for only 2.2 seconds worse than shown by the race winner - Laurens Vanthoor. On the average ArtTech has reduced the backlog from time of leaders to 1.7-1.8 seconds from a lap in this race.
Two pilots - Semenov (presumably, because of problems with the engine) and Marko Oberhauzer were not classified there.
On a podium of “Trophy” offset have risen Sergey Chukanov - 1 place, Brazilian Franchesko Lopez - 2nd, and, for the first time in this season, the Italian pilot Luka Iannakkone, stepped on 3rd position.
Following the results of qualification for the second race Chukanov has shown 17th time with 1:18.2 s. Lawrence Vanthoor became the first here again, his time - 1:16.2.
