In September 2007 ten Russian formulas lined up at the starting line of the Formula 3 Finland Championship. Despite the difference in engine displacement, our pilots were able to win both races, taking up the podium and most of the top ten positions. This reflects a significant improvement in the level of young Russian pilots.
After the September race, one of the leading Finnish teams, ADRF, brought the champion of Finland to the final race of the Russian championship. Marko Nevalainen finished 5th at the Myachkovo race.
In September the administration of the Russian formula attended the meeting of Formula 3 Finland teams in Helsinki. The majority of Finnish pilots supported the decision to institute the North Europe Cup and hold several joint races in 2008. This means that next year the two countries (and potentially Estonia) will witness a spectacular competition, with two and a half dozen formulas at the starting line.
We have launched the most powerful series in Northern Europe, which will become a stepping stone for world-class pilots from Russia, Finland and other Baltic states.
Art-Line will participate in all stages of the 2008 Championship of Finland with the support of its partners and Alan Docking Racing Finland, a team established by former Formula 1 pilot Mika Salo. Russian ArtTech formulas will be equipped with 2-liter engines. The team will be based in Helsinki.
