2004-2006
   

In 2004 Art-Line Engineering entered two teams in the Championship of Russia: Art-Line Engineering (Victor Antonov and Oleg Kazakov) and Unit Art-Line (Victor Shaitar and David Markozov). In the same season, the team’s main rival, Lukoil Racing, also joined the Formula 1600 and the battle continued. The viewers witnessed an intense fight at every stage of the Championship.

Also in 2004 Art-Line Engineering first tested a carbon-fibre monocoque developed by its design bureau, the ArtTech F1605.

Formula Rus Vice Champion Daniel Mauvet became ArtTech’s test pilot in 2005. Vitalii Petrov, Victor Antonov and Victor Shaitar participated in all of the races of the season and received the 1st, 4th and 7th individual places, respectively. Petrov won his title in the very last laps of the Championship’s final race, overcoming Yuri Baiborodov (Lukoil Racing). Vladimir Labazov and Anton Pankratov tested the water in 2005 in the highest-speed national class.

In 2006 Art-Line Engineering experts designed the first professional racetrack in Russia, Raceway ADM in Myachkovo. Art-Line Engineering still put forward two teams, with the sponsorship of ISTOK Company (Istok Art-Line Racing: Ivan Samarin and Artem Barkhian/Alexander Tyuryumin) and Sitronics Concern (Sitronics Racing: Mikhail Kozlovsky and Victor Shaitar). Sitronics chose the design bureau’s own chassis and in the very first test race of the season Victor Shaitar brought his ArtTech to victory.

2004 Season Results: Each of the pilots won 4 of the 7 Championship stages. The team became the national vice champion and its pilot Victor Antonov received the individual silver medal.

2005 Season Results: The team’s pilots logged 4 victories at 6 stages, including a silver team medal and a first place for Vitalii Petrov.

2006 Season Results: Art-Line Engineering had 3 victories at 6 stages, including a silver medal for the team and 1st and 3rd individual places (Ivan Samarin and Victor Shaitar).
