Most of the cars have been sold with 8-valve 1599 cm3 atmospheric engine in compliance with technical regulations of Formula 1600. Based on the VAZ cylinder block, it produces 170hp at 8000 rpm. To lower the height of the car's center of mass, increase torsional stiffness of a load-carrying structure and reduce mass moment of inertia towards the vertical axle, we have designed a special engine sump and clutch sump with an oil tank inside.
